Physiotherapy during pregnancy

Physiotherapy during pregnancy is a specialized treatment approach that accompanies expectant mothers through the profound physical changes of this particular phase of life. During pregnancy, the body's focus, hormone balance and tissue change, which can lead to specific symptoms.

The therapeutic measures include targeted exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which are particularly stressed by increasing weight and hormonal changes, as well as techniques to stabilize the spine and relieve the pelvic girdle. For complaints such as back pain, symphysis pain or pelvic girdle instabilities, adapted manual techniques, specially developed relaxation methods and individualized ergonomic advice are used.

Specific breathing exercises, posture training and gentle exercise programs to promote blood circulation and alleviate pregnancy-related edema are also important components. The therapy is always individually adapted to the respective stage of pregnancy and takes into account possible contraindications.
