Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a specialized physiotherapeutic treatment method that is used to diagnose and treat functional disorders of the entire musculoskeletal system.
The therapist systematically examines the joints, muscles and nerves and treats restrictions with precise movements. Through targeted mobilization techniques such as passive joint movements, gentle tractions (pulling movements) and specific sliding mobilizations, blockages are released, natural mobility is restored and pain mechanisms are positively influenced.
The treatment always takes into account the biomechanical relationships in the body and is individually adapted to the needs and complaints of the patient. Manual therapy is particularly effective when combined with active exercises that stabilize the improvements achieved and integrate them into functional movement patterns.
Areas of application:
- back pain
- neck tension
- herniated intervertebral discs
- joint blockages
