Medical Training Therapy

Medical training therapy is a scientifically based, active treatment concept that combines device-based training with therapeutic support. It is based on training science and biomechanical principles and represents a bridge between classical physiotherapy and sports training. In contrast to fitness training, MTT is individually tailored to the needs, limitations and goals of the patient and supervised by specially trained therapists.

The therapy begins with a comprehensive anamnesis and functional testing, on the basis of which a personalized training plan is created. This usually includes a balanced program of strength, endurance, coordination and flexibility exercises on special medical training equipment. The load parameters such as weight, number of repetitions and amount of movement are precisely dosed and continuously adjusted to progress.

MTT is characterized by the principle of progressive load enhancement, in which training stimuli are gradually increased in order to promote adaptation processes. The regular review and documentation of training progress enables objective monitoring of success and optimization of the treatment plan.
